Ultrasound
|
Ultrasound imaging—also called sonography —is a
safe and painless procedure that uses sound waves to produce high quality
images of various organ symptoms such as the heart, blood vessels, liver,
gallbladder, kidneys, spleen & uterus. Because ultrasound uses sound waves instead of
radiation to produce images, ultrasound specializes in the visualization of the
anatomical structures found in the female pelvis and unborn children.
With
West Feliciana Hospital’s GE Logiq E9 XDclear 2.0 Ultrasound system, virtually every element of the imaging
chain, from the pulse of the probes to the clarity of the pixels, has been
rethought resulting
in our highest level of imaging yet. Used as a crucial tool for obstetrics and
to examine vital organs, blood vessels, thyroid, kidney, or gallbladder, it
provides physicians information to guide decisions that enhance clinical
confidence. Ultrasound appointments are required.
