EMS CLASS


EMT is the entry-level position in the emergency medical services field. In 3-4 months, you can learn the skills you will need to work as part of a medical response team. EMTs provide basic emergency medical care and transportation to patients who access the EMS system. Medics make a difference, every day. A few of the skills you will learn:
  • Opening the airway and providing artificial ventilation
  • Delivery of semi-automated defibrillation
  • Controlling severe bleeding
  • Dressing and bandaging wounds
  • Splinting injured extremities
  • Delivery and care of infants
  • Emergency vehicle operations
  • Communications and medical record keeping

Course Schedule
Classes will begin on August 14, 2017

160 Hour Program that spans the course of 14-15 weeks. 

The following requirements must be met in order to be accepted in the program:

  • Valid Photo ID stating 18 years or older
  • High school Diploma or GED
  • Composite minimum score of 8th grade math and 10th grade reading. ACT scores may be used.
  • Current health care provider CPR card
  • Must not be convicted of a felonY

Cost

$150 Deposit is do at the time of enrollment.

Total cost of the class is $850, your deposit will go towards the total cost. Textbook is included in cost. 

FULL PAYMENT MUST BE MADE BEFORE 08/01/2017

THERE MUST BE A MINIMUM 10 STUDENTS REGISTERED TO HOLD CLASS.
